Yard To Table
I have a small garden in the back yard where I grow summer and fall vegetables and berries. It has been a heck of challenge getting a garden going 100 yards from the Atlantic Ocean on a property where the soil is darn near 100% sand. I finally gave up trying to grow anything in the sand even after untold number of bags of topsoil from hardware stores. A friend told me about a mushroom soil mix from Millville Organic Center, a local company that manufactures several types of premium soils from organic yard waste. What a difference! I created two raised beds 4 foot by 12 foot and now my vegetables grow beautifully.
